Frequently asked questions

Who is Ricardo Carmona Suárez?

I am from Seville, a historian and official tourist guide of Andalusia. I offer guided tours with a fixed price for private groups regardless of the number of people in the group (groups of 1 to 30 people maximum). After receiving more than 200 5-star reviews and 2 certificates of excellence on Tripadvisor, I decided to create Tour Guide Seville.

What is Tour Guide Seville?

In the event that I myself cannot attend to your request, I will advise you to trust a colleague from my team of guides. We are a team of official tour guides from Andalusia. We offer tourist services in Seville. We are official accredited guides, independent, experienced and above all things, we love our work and our city.

Who makes up the Tour Guide Seville team of guides?

The Tour Guide Seville team has been specially selected by me, Ricardo Carmona Suárez, its founder. We are all local guides accredited by the Andalusian Government, we speak at least three languages and come from university studies in History, Art History and Tourism.

Do you offer group tours?

No. I do not offer group tours priced per person. All my services are private. That is, I work with already formed groups (for example families, groups of friends, business groups, schools, associations or agencies) but I do not form or manage the groups.

The cost of private services is fixed for each group of up to 30 people and is priced per hour. My private rates are ideal and economically convenient compared to the group tours offered by other companies. Additionally, the group will be private.

What if we are more than 30 people?

For groups larger than 30 people, two guides are always needed.

What time do your guided tours start?

My private services do not have fixed hours. The schedule is chosen by the client. For tours in the morning, I advise starting around 9:00 in the morning. For midday or afternoon tours, I advise starting the tour around 2:00 p.m. When visiting monuments, you must always take into account their schedule.

What is the meeting point for your tours?

I offer free pick-up from a hotel, apartment or any point in the historic center of Seville up to 15 minutes before starting the visit. For pickups and transfers from the airport, train/bus station or any other point outside the historic center of Seville, please consult the fees.

Do you have tickets for the Alcázar or the Cathedral?

No. I do not have tickets for the monuments to be put on sale. Tickets to the monuments or sites visited are not included in my fees and must be purchased on the official website of each monument.

How to avoid queues at the entrance to the monuments?

Entrance fees to the monuments are not included in my fees. Our qualification as official guides allows us to have priority access to most of the monuments in Europe but in the case of the Alcázar and the Cathedral of Seville these accesses, especially in high season, are also blocked due to capacity. This is why I always advise my clients to buy tickets online on official websites in advance.

Are the distances traveled during your tours very long?

The tours we take vary from one tour to another. I recommend reading carefully or consulting the description of the tour you are booking, as you have to consider aspects such as having a wheelchair or the slowness of a member of the group when walking. I must remember that a tour is a guided service that lasts a limited number of hours, it is not a tour to be completed at any cost. That is, if a member slows down the pace of the group to the point of not fully completing the visit, the service will still end at the established time, without the right to any refund. It is always better to hire some extra hours in this case.

Do you cancel tours due to bad weather?

No, we do not cancel visits due to bad weather. I carry out the tours and visits already booked whenever it is humanly and physically possible. The client who decides to cancel visits due to bad weather does not have the right to any refund. In cancellations due to reasons of force majeure, I will evaluate your specific case with you to reach an agreement, always trying to have professionalism and human ethics.
